Caroline and Lesley first heard about Zara at the pound, where they were picking up two dogs. The staff couldn’t help but mention Zara, and when they met her, they instantly fell for her cheeky, mischievous face. Her nickname, “the pocket rocket,” was earned through her boundless energy and her love for playing chase.

Zara was quick to show off her playful nature, darting around the field with a “catch me if you can” attitude. Initially, she went to her new home as a foster dog, but it didn’t take long for her foster dad to realise he couldn’t imagine life without her. Within a week, he made the decision to make Zara a permanent part of the family. Now, Zara is living her best life—enjoying plenty of walks, exciting adventures, and splashing around in the river.

It’s a perfect life for a dog who once was unloved in the pound.
